Shoreward-bound eastern newts will orient themselves quite differently under light with wavelengths of ~400 mm than light with wavelengths of ~600 mm, while homing newts will orient themselves the same way under both short and long wavelengths. Ik was me aan het inlezen over mogelijke oorzaken van die zogenaamd moeilijke Groene watersalamander.
Dit is bekend bij de meeste amfibieën. ;)
Ja, Joost we weten natuurlijk wel dat de meeste amphibs zoiets als aan homing doen, waar het in dit geval om ging is HOE HET WERKT (althans volgens deze onderzoekers). Bert Schaap
